Today was the second US Cup of the season at Bonelli Park in San Dimas CA. The cross-country course was loose and fast with some steep punchy climbs and rocky descents. We completed 4 five mile laps averaging about 700 feet of climbing per climb. I had a solid race until lap 4 when I started to cramp in both calves, but managed to pull it together and finish the race in 4th place.
The Super D course was ultimately the back side of the xc course which consisted of a short high speed loose descent where you could drift like no other. The rest of the course consisted of a short flat pavement section into a loose single track climb that led us into a fire road ascent into a long quarter mile flat finish. I finished the Super D in 6:36 seconds which put me on the top step of the podium. Today was a great day minus loosing my Garmin. Thanks to all of our sponsors for your great support!
